Superintendent’s Report

         A.     Music Boosters – Jeff VanGundy reported on the activities of the Music Boosters in 2004.  They have contributed over $31,000 to the music program this past year.

         B.      Thank you – Community, The Circleville Herald and Mike Pratt, Board of Education, Administration, Staff, Students

Ø Minutes of Regular Meeting – November 8, 2004

Ø The financial reports, reconciliations, and investments as presented.

Ø Accepting the following donations:

         -     $1,000 from Logan Elm Athletic Boosters to Wrestling

         -     $500 from an anonymous donor to Boy’s Basketball

         -     $250 from Logan Elm Music Boosters to Band

         -     $1,000 from Thomson Consumer Electronics to Logan Elm High School

         -     $9,597.85 in miscellaneous art & craft supplies from an anonymous donor to Pickaway Elementary

Ø Deleting the following items from inventory:

               IBM Typewriter           #02106

               Various computer equipment as listed

Ø Renewing their annual membership in the Ohio School Boards Association and subscriptions to association publications for a fee of $4,079 for 2005.

Ø Membership in the Circleville-Pickaway Chamber of Commerce for 2005.

Ø Entering into an agreement with Ohio School Plan for property, fleet and liability insurance effective January 1, 2005 – December 31, 2005.

Ø The request from the Washington Hill Climbers 4-H Club to conduct a Christmas carry in at Washington Elementary School, December 19, 2004 at 1:00 P.M.

Ø Ashlee Park Engel as a student teacher from Ohio University-Chillicothe at Salt Creek Elementary School during winter quarter 2005.

Ø The following personnel as classified substitutes to be used on an as needed basis for the 2004-05 school year, pending B.C.I. clearance:

Ø Accepting the resignation of Eric Karshner, supplemental contract for the 2004-05 school year as 8^th grade Assistant Football Coach.

Ø Employing the following personnel on supplemental contracts for the 2004-05 school year:

Next Regular Meeting – Set January 4, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. in the district office for the 2005 Organizational meeting and named Debbie Shaw to preside until a president is elected.  A work session/executive session will follow the organizational meeting.

Budget Hearing - The Budget Hearing on the FY2006 budget was scheduled for 6:30 P.M. on January 10, 2005 at Pickaway Elementary School.
