Welcome to the Logan Elm Local School District and our incredible, interesting, and informative website.  This site was developed to share information about our great schools with everyone.  The 2008-2009 school year brings with it the exciting opportunity to work together to help our community and our children reach new heights. 

On August 26 the Ohio Department of Education released the report card results for districts across the state.  We are very pleased that the Logan Elm Local School District received a rating of Effective on the 2007-2008 Report Card.  Our schools offer excellent academic, athletic, and visual and performing art opportunities for each student to experience.

Although I am the district’s new superintendent, I am not new to the field of education.  I have been in education 28 years.  My experience encompasses thirteen (13) years in educational administration and fifteen (15) years in teaching in the field of Marketing and Business Education.  I am overjoyed that I have been given the opportunity to become part of the Logan Elm community.  Each new school year offers tremendous opportunities for staff, parents, and the community to work together to ensure the growth and success of every student.  I have found that the Logan Elm Local Schools is a community of talented administrators, dedicated teachers, hard-working support staff, and supportive parents. 

Communication will become a hallmark of the Logan Elm Local Schools.  Keeping our stakeholders informed about all aspects of our District’s operation is a very strong vision of mine.  As many of you are probably aware, there are many changes ahead and I hope you are as optimistic as I am about the transformation that will soon be underway.  Our major focus over the next year or so will be in three main areas: continue pursuing our mission to “Enhance growth through education”, focus on partnership and community engagement, and to pursue new facilities for the Logan Elm Local School District. 

Logan Elm consistently ranks as one of the best schools in Pickaway County.  I believe together we can continue the tradition of excellence in the Logan Elm Local School District and forge new paths to achievement and new educational facilities for our students.  I look forward to working with you to make this a successful year.  Our students are truly the leaders of future generations and they deserve our best efforts each and every day.
